This is the first time since 2012 that we have seen Arie on any season of the Bachelor franchise.  Yea, long overdue IMO.  I will be back this year for the charts and blogs on Arie and his ladies.  Stay tuned and we will give you as much info as we can....

SEASON PREVIEW FROM EPI 1

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Finale

To start things of, I decided not to post this blog last night when we saw the finale because it wasn’t over......so am posting the whole finale tonight.

Arie and the girls arrive in Cusco, Peru.  We see Arie telling us about his journey so far and where he thinks he stands with the women.  With Becca, he knows where he stands....the sure thing......hmmm where have I heard that before...oh right – insert season 13 and Jason Mesnick talking about Melissa.  Then there is Lauren, who is more reserved and he’s not as sure where he stands with her – insert season 13, Jason Mesnick, talking about Molly and the wild card factor.

We see that Arie is staying at the JW Marriott El Convento Cusco, which seems like a dream place to stay.  You are in a room overlooking Cusco and have this “old world” type decor complete with rock walls, etc.

It is meet the parents time and Arie heads to a different hotel to meet up with his family as he is bringing both women to meet the family.  He admits to the family that he’s in love with both of the women.  First up though is Lauren.  As Lauren is brought in, can I just say that the blond women and dark haired men theme runs thick in this family....holy smokes.  After sitting down for a few moments of idle chit-chat, they head over to the table for lunch.  After lunch, the first one to get Lauren aside is Arie SR.  Lauren admits that she was engaged before and she’s worried that if they get engaged it’s not going to work out.  Meanwhile, Arie tells the brothers and sisters that the one thing about Lauren is that he’s got to reassure her and is worried that it will continue outside of this....HELLO----dude, she’s been fighting for you with 24 other women and watching all that happen, of course she needs reassurance.  Then we see Arie’s mom, Mieke talking to Lauren.  Lauren admits that her biggest fear is losing Arie and it’s hard because of that.  Through the conversation, we actually see an emotional Lauren.  She is really feeling all of this.  Lauren said goodbye to the crew and left with Arie.  Meanwhile though, we get some talking in the background about Lauren and how she’s a cool girl and the fact that the family could see that there is a lot of chemistry with the pair.

Next we see Arie with the family talking about how Becca will be arriving today.  We also get an excerpt from Arie SR saying how it will be tough for Becca as the family all loved Lauren, and so it starts, the comparing between the two.  After the initial greeting, they all sit down for lunch and it doesn’t take long before Mieke takes Becca aside for a chat.  Immediately Mieke asks about Lauren’s engagement and how that affects Becca and her connection with Arie.  I think all that mom wanted to know is how connected she is to Arie.  At the end of the conversation, we get Arie’s mom saying how she really liked Becca and her confidence.  Next we see Arie sitting down with mom.  It’s funny during their chat...when the mom says that she’d lean more towards....the camera pans to Arie and we hear NOTHING.  What gives?  IMO the mom said a name but it purposely on accident got left out....yep, tricky editing there for sure!  Next up is Becca with SR. and again with the comparisons.  SR was trying to get out of Becca how she felt about Lauren.  This is really weird!  Then we get ITM’s from Becca.....comparing apples to starfish?  Really??  Hmmm is she really the F1 when she’s saying stuff like that?  Then the brother chimed in about how the family met up with Lauren yesterday....hmmmm wonder who the family was preferring after this meeting????  After Beca and Arie said their goodbye’s, he went back to the family to get their impressions.

The first one to get their last chance date was Lauren.  Arie is waiting for her at the train depot where they board it for Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the world.  The board the private train and have a chance to talk while onboard.  Along the way they are able to check out the locals, customs, etc from the train and are merrily kissing as they go along.  When they arrive at Machu, it’s raining but they are able to check out the area and different layers of the construction.  After they spend the day there, they head back to Lauren’s hotel, the Sol & Luna Lodge & Spa Sacred Valley for their evening portion.  It is here that Lauren states to Arie that she’s finally let down her guard and is totally in love with him.  Wants him to know that it is because of him that she’s been able to get there and wanted him to know that she’s grateful for that and that she’s completely in love with him.

The next day is Becca’s last chance date.  It’s a rainy day but they meet up in the square before spending time wandering through the streets of Cusco and the outdoor shopping district.  They stop and feed the llama’s and then stop for drinks at a picnic table for a chat.  From here, they head back to Becca’s hotel the Casa Cartagena Boutique Hotel and Spa for the night portion of the date.  During their time, they had a chat and then Becca gave him a card and a memories book.

The next thing we see is returnees Ben H and Jason Mesnick.  Both dudes were saying that getting to the end sucks.  You are hurting people no matter what you do but as Jason says, you just got to do you.....

We see both women getting ready for the rose ceremony and telling us their feelings leading up to the ceremony itself and what their journey has been so far.  Ring shopping time is next and we see our favorite ring guy Neil Lane.  Neil arrives at Arie’s suite and in no time, Arie has picked the ring he wants.  Next we see all three going to the rose ceremony site.  BUT the first to arrive is Lauren.  She is escorted down to where Arie is standing.  It is Lauren that speaks first and you know what’s coming afterwards as Arie then tells her that she’s not the one.  BUT for some reason, this time I am thinking we are seeing more than we normally do during a breakup....why??  Eventually though, Arie gets it out and then walks Lauren out before Becca arrives.  Becca finally arrives and we get a brief statement by Becca before Arie tells her that she’s the one and gets down and asks to be engaged. 

This ain’t over folks......

After this we see filmed safehouse visits but we are also hearing Arie talk about how his heart isn’t in it with Becca as he finally seen that the love he has with Lauren is more.  We then see Arie and Chris Harrison having a sit down together and Arie is telling him that he wants to break up with Becca, but still working on how to do it.  We then see Becca arriving for the next safehouse visit and this is when the breakup happens.  I am NOT going to go into it because A) I think we have all seen it and B) to try and type dialogue over this will not have the effect that it did to watch it.  But what I will tell you that in real time, it lasted about 40 min.

TUESDAY NIGHT – ROUND 2:

The first thing we get is a replay of what happened last night, then right into where things stood afterwards.  We see Arie being driven away and Becca outside at the house, but what we see next baffles me beyond.  We actually see Becca being FILMED on the airplane.....seriously?  If that was me I’d wipe that camera away so fast it would make the guys head spin.  Thats from someone that absolutely is terrified of flying and I am already nervous as hell, then to have that THING around me....YIKES!  I digress....We then see Arie meeting up with Jason and trying to find out what Jason went through.  Jason forewarned him that there will be backlash, yelling at him, magazine headlines but the last words Arie hears is don’t do this unless you are 100% certain. 

Well, I guess he is as he’s on a plane to Virginia Beach where Lauren lives.  Arriving at Lauren’s he is having a panic attack in the driveway before he musters up the courage to get to the front door.

Meanwhile, we are transported back to Becca....more of the same, whining and crying.  I am sorry if I sound callous but after last night, I’m so done.  I understand that she is hurting, but to tell the truth, there is such as a thing as enough is enough....I think that she’s gonna be fine.

Back at Lauren’s, we see Arie getting up the courage to head to the front door.  After knocking, we see Lauren opening up the door and running out to his arms.  We hear Arie in the background that he did talk to Lauren on the phone where he told her that he and Becca are broken up and now he’s back to ask for another chance with Lauren.  We find out that it’s been a month and a half since the finale.  That makes it the end of December sometime???  The finale was finished filming on Nov 10.  Lauren admits that after the filming ended, she moved back home from Dallas as she just needed her family around.  Then the conversation started about why he chose Becca instead of her, and it was because he felt that she(Lauren) was showing a bit of self doubt in Ica which scared him.  Then the conversation came around to why he proposed.  Arie admitted that there was a lot of confidence from Becca’s end which gave him the assurance he needed, but he also felt that it was a “safe” decision for his future.  Now where have I heard that line before....oh yea, that was the line about Melissa when Jason chose her as his F1 instead of going with the one that he still had questions about but had the love for in Molly.  In essence Arie stated that he let the logical side of himself take over the emotional side in the decision making.  To the question, are you over Becca, and it was 1000% and to further on that, he said that his heart was always with Lauren.  I have to say, this was pretty cute watching them.

Next up, Bekah(baby becs as she was called), Tia, Caroline, Seinne, and Kendall.  They came on the stage and dished out their thoughts.  BUT, let’s just say, I am not going there.

Next Becca comes out on the stage to talk with Chris Harrison.  She went into great extent on how this went down and how it hurt her.  Becca admits that:  she knew that Arie told both of them that he loved them; that he could reach out to Lauren for closure; looked for homes in Arizona; admitted that she see’s where his heart lies;  glad that he’s got what he wanted.  Then they are making fun of the billboards and fun set up for Becca.  Becca said to donate the money that was raised for her so she is donating that and the producers are going to match it and it is being donated to stand up to cancer.

Next up, Arie and Becca on stage.  Becca asks when did he know that he wanted to end things.  He said that it was when he first contacted Lauren in the beginning of January when the show premiered.  In “allowing” him to contact Lauren, she thought that Arie was going to close the door to that relationship, then to build on theirs.  Arie admits that he has a regret of proposing that day, and that he never should of done it but the concept of being a bachelor, that’s what happens.  In the end, Becca gave her well wishes to Arie and Lauren.

Next on the couch was Molly and Jason.  The question came up about what Arie should do now and the quick answer is to escape.  Get out of dodge and work on your new relationship with Lauren.  BUT the other thing that was said is that he should of broken up in private and the drawback to that is the questions and never ending ones at that......  Bottom line though, he met with Arie, feels that he is a real and great person.  Another thing that Jason said, is that this show can really mess you up.

Lauren and Arie take the stage:

Harrison was asking questions of how things came about with regards to their reunion.  So far, the stories between Lauren and Arie are matching up so......  Lauren says that they are both in love, and looking at them on the couch, they are very lovey dovey and seem to be really happy.  When asked though....Harrison says that he told Arie at the start of this once you ring this bell, there’s no going back so now that it’s over and the haters are out there.....how does he now feel.  Arie says that it just doesn’t matter, they are sitting next to one another, they each have each others heart and that’s all that matters.  When asked what’s next, they are going on holidays and when they get back, Lauren is moving to Arizona.  At the very end, Chris said to Arie if there is something else that he wanted to say and that he had the floor.....well, that is when he shocked everyone there and asked Lauren to get married.  The camera panned around the room and yep, lots of shocked looks, but both sets of parents were also in the room sitting next to each other and they were all happy as well as Arie and Lauren

Well, that’s one more season in the books.  Over the next few days, I will upload some pics and some more stories.  Until then, take care everyone and see you on May 28 for the premiere of the next Bachelorette.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Fantasy Dates

Finally, it is fantasy dates time.  Arie, Becca, Kendall and Lauren are all in Peru. 

Kendall is the first one to have her date.

We catch up with her as she is getting ready for the date and heads out to the desert to see Arie already waiting for her.  After the greeting packed with kisses, they pile into a dune buggy and head out for a ride.  They are brought up to the top of a dune and grab their sand boards and ride the sand to the bottom where they sit down for a picnic and a chat.  For the evening portion they head to a back oasis area and find dinner laid out for them.  Here they have a chance to get into some deeper conversations.  It is during these conversations that Kendall tells him that she’s falling in love with him and after a kiss, he says that he’s falling as well.  At this point, Arie brings out the fantasy date card and the two of them head off to their suite.

The next morning we get to catch up with them again as they are making breakfast and having their last chats together before saying goodbye.

The next day is Lauren’s fantasy date. 

We catch up with her as she’s getting ready for the date.  Arie is waiting for her at the airport and they board a plane to check out the Nazca Lines.  They are seeing the geoglyphs below but Arie knows that Lauren is back in her head again and he knows that she’s worried about things so goes back into her head to prevent getting hurt.  After landing, they head to Huacachina Oasis for a chat and a drink.  Once again, Lauren is expressing how hard the process is for her and the fears she has like getting her heart broken and how much she has to lose.  It is at this point when Lauren says that she doesn’t know if she can keep doing it, we immediately hear how it scares the shit out of Arie that she’d leave.

For the night portion, they head out to an eatery where they sit down to dinner.  It is during this chat that Lauren stated that she knows that it has been hard for him and she’s grateful that he’s constantly been reassuring her of their connection.  It is then that Arie flat out tells her that he loves her.  You can visably see how this has affected Lauren and Arie presents her with the fantasy suite card.  It is at this time that Lauren also tells Arie that she loves him before they get up and walk to their suite.  It is here that we hear the song “How do I live without you” as they are walking up to their suite.  After checking out their suite, they sat down on the couch and shared another quick chat and some kisses.  Then the last we saw them, they were on the bed kissing.  The next morning we see them chatting on the bed before Arie leaves.

The third date is Becca’s

The next day is Becca’s date in Paracas.  She met up with Arie on the dock and found out that they’d be taking a catamaran to check out the local islands.  The main one that they go to is the Bellasas Islands where they see seal lions, and other wildlife and jus lounge out on the boat enjoying the ride.  The whole time we are getting lots of ITM’s from Becca of how she loves him and is going to tell him tonight.

For the night portion of the date, they found themselves on the sanddunes around Paracas with a glamping style tent setup.  Arie admits to Becca that his biggest fear in this process was not finding someone, choosing the wrong one, or not having a good outcome.  Both Arie and Becca kept saying that their relationship is so easy. Hmmm.  Becca then tells him that she loves him.  And Arie admits that he said that he at hometown dates said that he was falling in love but now says to her tonight that he does love her....score card here, he’s said that he loves two women now.  Arie hands Becca the fantasy suite card and she finds out that they are staying in a tent in the desert.  They get up and walk to another tent up and beyond the one that they are currently in to find strawberries and champagne waiting for them. 

The next morning they wake up and head outside with their breakfast to find a picnic spot set up on the sand.  They have a champagne breakfast and fruit waiting for them.  The two of them parted ways and the next thing we see Becca’s ex boyfriend talking to production. 

Ross then shows up at Arie’s suite to confront him about Becca.  One thing that I noticed in their conversation that may mean something or nothing and wonder if it is a sign of what’s to come if Arie and Becca are together at the FRC, is that Arie asked Ross to respect the relationship if Becca tells him to leave cause she is there for Arie.  Hmmm, could this mean that there is problems on the horizon no matter what happens between now and the finale??

Ross then went on to confront Becca and try to win her back at Becca’s hotel.  To me when Becca opened up the door, it’s like she was expecting him to be there.  Then through their chat we get the notebook scenario and she even called it that.  To me, this is screaming so fake and made up.  Talk about a setup.  Is this showing us a reason why if Arie chooses Becca and things don’t work out??  I just feel that there is something to this, now it’s just a matter of when will we know how this has affected the finale and beyond if it did at all.

Now we are back at Arie’s suite and Becca is knocking on the door.  As Arie stated, there had to be a reason why her ex felt that this would work, coming here and trying to get Becca back.  Obviously Arie is looking for some re-assurance that he just isn’t getting.

The Rose ceremony location is the Tacama Winery in Ica Peru.  Arie is sitting down with Chris to talk about the women and what he’s going to do about the RC.  After the girls were in their lineup for the ceremony, Arie came out and asked to speak to Kendall.  They went aside for a chat and at this point, Arie stated to her that next week is big but he doesn’t think they can get to where they need to be so he’s letting her go.  After saying goodbye to Kendall, Arie headed back and handed out the roses to Lauren and then Becca.

Next week is the finale and it will be a two day event according to the tv guide but Monday for sure will have the finale and after the final rose, then Tuesday is part 2 of it.

NOTES:

- I noticed that on Becca and Kendall’s dates, they were the ones that did the talking but on Lauren’s, it was Arie that did the talking in ITM’s.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Epi 8 HTD’s

Tonight’s epi starts with Arie driving around telling us about the episode and the first one up is Kendall.  Kendall’s hometown is LA so Arie is starting off his week easily without travel.  After they meet up, Kendall takes him to show him what she’s about.  They walk through the doors of a warehouse to find a whole taxidermy setup.  You can literally see how freaked out Arie is about it.  But Arie hadn’t seen anything yet.....next Kendall tells him that they are going to do their own taxidermy work on rats.  Holy crap, I would of been out the back door so quick you wouldn’t of been able to see the dust as it would already of been settled.  YIKES!  They were able to sit down afterwards for a chat.  For the night portion, they went to the family’s place and after introductions and a brief sitdown time at the table, Kendall headed off with her mom for a chat.  Meanwhile, Arie and Kendall’s twin sister Kylee sat down for a chat.  The sister was pretty good and receptive for Arie, but also a bit reserved at the same time.  The next person that Arie chatted with was Kendall’s dad.  In their conversation as with the sister, doubts were put forth by the family when it comes to loving/falling in love and marriage.  Both of them felt that she likely won’t be ready at the end to accept an engagement.  It really felt that this hometown date went super quick.  Arie and Kendall went outside to chat again before he leaves and it is here that Kendall admitted to falling for him as well.  They shared some kisses before he left.

Arie arrived at the date location and Tia informed him that they are going to do a little bit of southern country and mix that with one of his loves in car racing.  The two of them “raced” each other.....more like Tia doing one lap of the track and Arie doing several.  LOL.  Afterwards they sat on a tailgate of a truck and had a tailgate picnic.  For the night portion, they joined the family at the family home.  After “toasting” over wieners(cause they are in Weiner Arkansas), it was Tia’s brother that had the first crack at Arie.  Right off the hop the brother was into the hard questions as he said to Arie about the kissing bandit, the rumors about being the playboy and whooping it up.  In the end, it seemed like Arie had won him over.  Next up, Tia had a chat with her father and wanted the dad to “grill” Arie to find out if he’s in it for the right reasons.  You know...that chat.  Tia then has a chance to sit down with her mom who in turn just wanted to give advice to Tia about opening up in the event that she stays there longer.  Once again, this HTD seemed to go very quickly as Tia and Arie are out on the porch swing chatting before he actually leaves.

Becca is the next one to have their htd.  They meet up in an apple orchard where they pick some apples before carrying onto their next activity....Target practice.  They slingshot apples at a target.  Next up is them taking their apples and dipping them into the caramel sauce at the Caramel Shack.  They finally sat down to chat about who Arie is meeting.  They arrive at the house and after all the greets, they sit down at the table for a toast after which, Uncle Garry is the first one to snag Arie for a chat.  Garry informs Arie that because Steve, Becca’s dad died, it is the uncles that are now Becca’s guard dogs.  Meanwhile, Becca and her mom are chatting where Becca asks her mom whether she’d be willing to give Arie permission to marry Becca and the answer was a resounding no.  Becca carried on though to let her mom know how she’s feeling and what she wants.  Arie is the next one to chat with the mom and tells her that he wants to use his parents as an example since they have been married for so many years.  At the end of their chat though, Arie did ask her if he could have Becca’s hand and the mom’s permission for it.  Well, he got a semi one in the means that the mom trusts Becca so if they get that far and Becca accepts the engagement, the mom will be fine with it.  The two of them head outside for a quick goodbye and a few more kisses to boot.

Lastly it is Lauren.  Arie meets up with Lauren at the beach and he finds out that they are going horseback riding on the beach.  After a while, they stop at an old lighthouse tower where they climb up for a great view of the area and some kisses.  Next they sit down on the beach for a chat before they go to the family’s home.  After the meet/greet when they arrive, they sat down in the living room for a few minutes before heading to the dining room for dinner.  After a few silences and some small talk, you can literally see the sweat on Arie’s face.  He gets up and heads out of the room and just as quick, Lauren was asking her family what they thought.  We see Arie out in the hallway wiping himself down as he was telling us that he sweats heavily when he gets nervous.  The first one to get Arie alone is with her dad.  They head outside to chat and of course the dad looked tense but when Arie admitted to going over to Iraq and hanging out with the soldiers, flying a jet, you could see the dad softening up to him for sure.  When the dad said that he trusts Lauren, and he has noticed how she’s grown and changed over the last 5 yrs.  Next up on the gauntlet was Lauren’s mom, Pamela.  They went outside for a chat and although she was more skeptical than the dad, she did say in the end that she trusts Lauren so if that is the way things end up, then that’s fine.  As Lauren walks Arie out, Arie said that he went through a hard time talking with Pamela as she was super hard on him.  Before he left, they shared some more kisses.

Next up is the Rose Ceremony.

All the girls arrive for the ceremony beginning with Becca, Kendall, Tia, and finally Lauren.  Next Arie arrived and had a chance to talk briefly with Chris before heading in to hand out the roses.  After talking to the girls very briefly, Arie excused himself when the emotion started getting the best of him.  When Arie went back to the group, he asked to talk to Kendall.  Outside, Arie asks Kendall if she could see herself getting engaged at the end....was she ready?  But she did say to him that as of this moment she doesn’t know, but what she does know is that she sees so much potential and isn’t ready to give up yet.  When they came back, you can see both are emotional.  In the end though, roses were handed out to Becca, Lauren and Kendall.  When Tia left she was so heartbroken.....wow.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Episode 7

Tonight is the last episode before hometown dates and as such, it is the most important one as Arie needs the time with some of the women to know if they are the ones that go onto hometown dates.  We meet up with Arie and the women in Tuscany, Italy.  First we see Arie walking the streets of Florence and talking about how beautiful it is etc when he also starts telling us where he stands with the women.  Next we see the girls walking around and finally meeting up with Chris Harrison where he tells them that there won’t be a rose ceremony but roses will be handed out on all the dates.  Walking around, the women arrive at their hotel for the week, the Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort and Spa and begin checking things out.  They arrive at their suite and find a date card waiting for them.  Becca, let’s fall in love under the Tuscan sun....Arie. 

Arie arrives at the resort in a convertible to pick up Becca and the two of them take off for Barga.  When they arrive, they head out on foot checking out the town before finding a street vendor where they pick up their picnic food and finding a place to sit and eat.  During their picnic, they are able to have a chat about where they are going in this process.  Arie admits in an ITM that he was questioning whether their connection had fizzled out as it had been a while since their last date.  Before we leave them at the picnic, and after several kisses, he admitted in an ITM that it is all still there for him.

Meanwhile back at the villa, Jacqueline is having a hard time and is taking the opportunity to talk to Kendall about everything as it seems that Jacqueline is contemplating leaving on her own.

Back with Arie and Becca, they are sitting down to dinner and drinks when Arie asks her who would be around if they did a hometown date.   After their chat, Arie handed out the rose to Becca and she is so elated that she has the first rose for hometowns. 

At the suite, the next date card arrives.  Lauren......Let’s break down our walls.....Arie.  This immediately prompts us getting an ITM from Bekha about how it sucks....yep.  They are frustrated because she had a date last week and it’s not fair for her to be getting another one now.  Becca then arrives back at the room and the women are still up.  Meanwhile, Jacqueline is still having a hard time with things and she knows she needs to talk with Arie so therefore heads down to his room to chat.  In the end of their conversation, she tells Arie that she just doesn’t have strong enough feelings for him to stay and needs to leave.  Heading back to the women, she tells them that she is leaving.

For the next date, it is Arie and Lauren.  She meets up with Arie in Lucca and finds out that they are biking around Lucca.  They stop at a shop and grab some gelato.  They sit down for a chat about hometowns when a child kicks a soccer ball towards them.  They both chime in on the game. 

Back at the villa, the next date card arrives.  Seinne....I’m searching for the one.....Arie. 

For the night portion of the date, the pair head to their location which is a table set up in what may be some ruins.  The pair begin to chat about their journey so far and as Arie stated, if Lauren didn’t open up, then she’d be gone....well she has opened up just fine and at the end, admitted that she’s starting to fall in love with him.  It seems to take Arie by surprise and he walked away for a few minutes.  We get an ITM from Lauren that she’s worrying about opening up too soon with him as when she shared that she’s starting to fall in love, the guy walks away.  When Arie does return though, he admits that he’s feeling vulnerable with her and it is scaring him a bit but also that he’s falling so deeply in love with her.  I think at this point you all get it....it’s kind of redundant him asking her to accept the rose but he does anyways and she readily takes it.  The pair share some sweet kisses before the end of the night.

The next day Seinne has her date.  When Seinne meets up with Arie, she finds out that they will be looking for truffles today.  After finding some, they were invited back to the guy’s place for lunch.  It was Arie that helped inside as the ladies were cooking.  Meanwhile, Seinne stayed outside and continued talking to everyone there.  For the night portion, they went out for drinks.  They begin talking about hometowns and you can literally see Seinne pull back from Arie.

Back at the villa they are talking about hometowns when the next date card arrives....Bekha, Tia, Kendall meet me at Villa Royalle.

With Arie and Seinne, things are going really slow.  Then we get an ITM from Arie about how something is missing and he can’t put his finger on it, but he’s choosing to not give her the rose.

The next day, the remaining three meet up with Arie and the women find out what they will be doing today.  As the four of them check out the grounds, they come across the food and wine set out for them.  It is Kendall that gets the first alone time with Arie.  They end up having a great chat before Arie takes her back and then grabs Tia for a chat.  It is during this that Tia tells Arie that she feels that Bekha isn’t there for the right reasons.  Tia and Bekha then chat and it is Tia that tells her what she told Arie.  This immediately sets Bekha off and the water works start.  Bekha runs up to find Arie and of course now she’s crying full bore....  She spends some time with Arie before they head back to the group.  It is now that Arie hands out the first rose to Kendall.  Meanwhile, Bekha and Tia are still there for the night portion.  The two of them meet up with Arie  for another chat and to find out who’d getting the next rose.  After one more chat with each of them, Arie hands out the rose to Tia.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Epi 6

Well, we are back at it again.  Episode 6 began with Arie and his harem arriving in the ‘City of Lights’.  Romantic Paris is the backdrop for another episode in his “journey”.  We first see the women arriving in Paris and boarding the ship “the B” for a tour of the Seinne.  Next we see Arie and Chris talking about his journey so far and how hard it has been for him.  Meanwhile, we are seeing the women on the deck of the ship talking about their journey(yep....really hate using that word, but hey, when in bachland, use the bachland phrases)when Harrison arrives with the first date card of the week.  It is here that Chris tells the women that there are four dates this week, two individual ones, a group one and a two/one date.  And of course the normal hysterics start when thinking about the 2/1 that is inevitably going to happen.

The first date goes to Lauren....Let’s fall in love in Paris(and no, not going to write the French version of it as I will likely botch it up)...Arie.  Then of course who walks around the corner but Arie.  After the two of them leave the ship and walk down the dock, it is a gondola that meets with them as they pile in for a tour of the Seinne River.  While Lauren and Arie are walking the streets and the market, we get glimpses of Kendall and Tia talking back on the ship about who Lauren is, how it is hard for her to open up and what that might mean to the relationship.  While the pair are walking around, we get an ITM from Arie saying that he’s so attracted to Lauren and really feels like he may be willing this to work but she’s really quiet which makes him wonder if she’s actually into him at all.

Back on the ship, the rest of the women are talking about what date is up next when they hear the bell.  Chelsea grabs the card and reads out the date:  Becca, Seinne, Bekha, Tia, Chelsea and Jenna.....Let’s get all dressed up, Arie.  Then of course we get an ITM from Krystal about how it is so unfair to either Kendall or Jacqueline to be put on the 2/1 with her as they don’t stand a chance.....full of yourself much are you Krystal??

Back with Lauren and Arie, they meet up for their night portion of the date at the Velfour Restaurant.  It is here that Arie states that he knows that it’s really hard for Lauren to open up, but on the other hand, that’s what he needs.  Sitting down, at least Arie broke the ice by telling her that he recognizes that she’s having a hard time to open up.  In the same sentence, Lauren also stated to him that quite often she puts people into the friendszone for a long time because of trust and when Arie asked how long, she admitted to six months which of course got a prompt daaaammm out of Arie for it.  But to his credit, Arie was the first to open up at that moment and let her into a part of his past that even the most solid people would have a hard time opening up to.  Arie explained what happened in his last serious relationship and of how his ex was pregnant with his child...Arie went off racing and while he was gone, was told that she lost the baby and that the ex wasn’t going to be there for him when he returned.  I guess his theory worked as it was after showing trust to Lauren enough to open up to her, she began opening up a bit to him and shared with him what happened in her last relationship.  It was after that which Arie presented the rose to her and asked her to accept it. 

The next day, Arie meets up with the girls as they wander down a street only to find out that their date revolves around the Moulin Rouge.  It is here that all the women get a quick tutorial in their dance steps that are used in one of the dances.  Then the coordinator asks that each of them get into some costumes in the back room to find the one that works for them the best.  The women are then told that the one to get the rose tonight will be invited back onstage to perform in front of an audience during the night act.  The group are brought back out onstage where the coordinator gets them to perform their chosen steps to music while Arie and the coordinator are discussing things to each performance.  The women are taken up to the VIP room where they are having their party and Arie is able to take the women aside for a chat with each of them starting with Tia, followed by Bekha and finally Seinne.  Arie chose to give the rose to Bekha though and the two of them then went backstage to get dressed for their number while the other women went back down to the theatre to watch them.  At the end of their quick number, Arie and Bekha gave a kiss there, then got changed and we were treated to another kiss outside in front of the Moulin Rouge sign.

Back at the ship, we see Kendall, Lauren and Jacqueline talking about the 2/1 and wondering who’s on it...just in time for Krystal to bring the card in and read it out.  Two on the date, one rose, one stays, one goes....Kendall and Krystal, we will always have Paris.  Arie.  Of course we see a pumped up Krystal and you know all she’s going to do is to rub it in Kendall’s face.  The next day Krystal and Kendall head off for their date.  When they arrive, Arie is waiting for them and they find out that they are at a chateau where they are able explore the history of the region.  The next thing is that Arie is going to hide in the maze while the two try to find him.  Meanwhile back on the ship, the other women are guessing as to who’s going to be returning at the end.  Of course it was Krystal that found Arie first and after doing a cheers between the three of them, it was Krystal that Arie wanted to talk with first.  Oh, good gawd Arie....don’t do it.....don’t get suckered in.  Of course he is cause she’s really good at what she does....uses her mouth and by end of the first part o their chat, he’s suckered in to kiss her.  Then good for him, Krystal can’t shut up as he finds out more about her crappy ways as she is now putting Kendall down by saying how Kendall isn’t ready for marriage and isn’t there for the right reasons.  Arie then takes Kendall aside for the chat and he immediately brought up what Krystal said to which Kendall really replied really mature to I thought.  It’s not so much about being ready for it in your thoughts but moreso because you find the one then know you are ready and she’s feeling that with him.  When Kendall is done, she heads back to Krystal and I am seeing the writing on the wall starting...holy crap.  All I got to say Kendall is you are so right on track!  Arie comes back to the duo and he tells them that he’s still not ready for his decision so he’s going to see them for dinner.  This starts the pouty face Krystal that we’ve seen so many times in the past whining that she’s so disappointed in Arie that he wouldn’t just tell them his choice and let the two of them carry onto the rest of the date together......yep.  For the night portion, Kendall is at the location waiting for Krystal and Arie when Krystal shows up first.  It is now that the pair ended up in round whatever it is and Krystal begins taking jabs at Kendall once more....wow that girl doesn’t give up.  After Arie arrives, they have a cheers then Krystal does a really weird crap session and tries to throw Kendall under the bus once more.  Arie then takes Kendall aside for some alone time which we as viewers weren’t privy to.  When they both come back, Arie hands out the rose to Kendall which of course you can bet us as the viewers are going to be hearing an earful from Krystal in 3-2-1....GO!  Meanwhile back at the ship, the women are watching Krystal’s bag leaving and the other women pop the cork on the bottle of champagne and whooping and hollering it up.  The whole time that we are getting the pitty poor me act and montage from Krystal, we are seeing Arie and Kendall heading up to the Eifel tower and sharing some time there as well as some great kisses.

The next day is Jacqueline and Arie’s date.  Arie is in a red Triumph car heading over to pick up Jacqueline who is waiting for him on the docked ship.  As they drive off, we then see the car broken down in eye shot of the other women.  The two of them head off in the back of a cab on a shopping date.  After finding a dress for her, they walked down the streets till they get to Maxim’s where they head in for drinks and a chat.  Throughout the day though, we are getting ITM’s from Jacqueline stating how worried she is that he won’t keep her and it may be getting in the way.  In the end though he gave her the rose and they were able to share some great kisses.  They ended their date in the day time so I am thinking that they had the Rose Ceremony that night.

The women arrived at the Rose Ceremony location but there was no cocktail party.  Besides the roses that were already handed out to: Lauren, Bekha, Kendall, and Jacqueline.....roses were also handed out to Tia, Seinne and Becca.

Next week the group are headed off to Tuscany for the last episode before hometown dates.  I will be back then with another blog and updated charts....hope you all have a great week!

 

 

 

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Epi 5

We start of tonight with Arie doing a “beach tour” in Fort Lauderdale which switches gears(yep pun intended) to the women arriving and taking a bike tour along the beach.  We stay with the women as they arrive at their suite in the W Hotel.  As they are sitting around chatting, Arie arrives.  He proceeds to tell the women that there is an amazing week happening with the dates starting immediately and it is Chelsea that gets the first one.

The two of them leave the suite and arrive in the marina where Arie informs them that they are heading out on a yacht for the day.  After checking out their digs, they sit down and get ready for the day.

Meanwhile back at the suite, the women are sitting around chatting when Maquel shows up........WHAT?  Hadn’t that chick left last episode because of a death in the family??

On the yacht, Chelsea and Arie are hanging out when of course the yacht goes by the suite in time or the women to magically be looking out and seeing them.  Call me cynical but this is weird.....the women are spying on their individual date.  For the night portion though, the two head off to the Car Museum in town which is a museum of all old cars from yester year.  They sit down for some serious conversations.....the main one in particular is Chelsea stating what happened through her life of being 20, being swept off her feet when she was younger by an older man who was very successful, getting pregnant and having a child, all to be left at the curb with belongings in trashbags when her child was 6 mo old.   Think I have always said, there are some real life convos that have happened on every season of this show.

Back at the hotel, the next date card arrives:  Maquel, Krystal, Bekha, Becca, Jenna, Seinne, Kendall, Ashley, Marikh, Jacqueline and Lauren.....There’s not a moment to spare – Arie.  This leaves Tia as the next individual date.

At the museum, we re-join Arie and Chelsea when he is getting ready to hand out the rose....to which of course she accepts.  It is at this time that they find out that they are going to have a private concert by Tenille Arts, a country music artist out of Canada. 

For the group date, they all arrive at the bowling ally and get in some practice and some lessons from everyone to boot.  Afterwards, Arie informs the women that they are splitting into teams and the winning team will get to go to the after party and the losing one goes back to the hotel.  The girls are able to pick their own teams and they are;  Pinups: Ashley, Marikh, Lauren, Bekha, Seinne  and the Spare Roses with Becca, Krystal, Jenna, Jacqueline, Maquel.  In the end though, the Spare Roses team blew the other team away.....and of course Krystal started getting cocky through the game.  The Pinups graciously lost and went backstage to the change room to lick their wounds when we see Arie sitting down and looking bummed himself.  As a viewer, one can think that he actually wanted it to go a different way than it did.  He went to see the losing team and asked them to come out and join in the group where he informed the women that since there wasn’t much time spent there he’s changing his mind and taking all the women for the night portion of the date.  This of course sets the stage for the crazy Krystal to come out....yep, ramping up the drama for sure Arie.  LOL.  The group goes back to the hotel to get ready for the night portion of the date and yep, Krystal is just radiating fumes as she walks around.  Apparently on the bus ride back to the hotel, Krystal lost it and started calling Arie a liar, and basically went off and lost it.  The other women are getting ready in the suite but Krystal comes out in a housecoat....WHAT?  How old is this chick in the first place......holy cripes. 

The women head upstairs to await for Arie.  When he does arrive, they tell him about her highness and the temper tantrum that she displayed so Arie made his way back to the room to confront her on it.  It was lame, but in the end he basically told her to stay where she was, he’s leaving and he’s not happy with how she is acting.  Rats.....thought he was going to apply some shoe leather on that butt of hers and send her packing.

Back upstairs, the women are patiently waiting when Arie finally shows up to stay....he proceeds to take the women aside for chats beginning with Kendall, then Bekha, then Becca who he takes back to his suite.  We then see Krystal getting ready, she is applying makeup on, is dressed and gimme a break.....now after making a scene returning back to the hotel, she’s now going to go up and join the group despite what Arie told her to do.....Arie – SEND HER HOME!  When she joins the women, the air went out of the place.  Why oh why does this chick not get it????  This of course is going to start another round of drama, just as the last round was exhaling and the group were settling into a good night.  After some more confrontations between Krystal and the women, she vanished back to her suite before Arie came back.  The last one for some alone chat with Arie is Lauren.  They played a game of 21 questions while they asked random things of the other in the attempt to get to know them better.  Before rejoining the group, they shared some kisses.  When the gang had all came together, Arie handed out the rose to Lauren.

The next day is Tia’s date in the Everglades.  They are on a boat exploring, trying to find alligators, etc when they come upon their date location at a cabin in the middle of the glades.  Jeremy made up some food for the pair of deepfried corn, frog legs and yellow bellied catfish.  They sit on an ole fashioned porch swing and get into some conversations about their life, etc while they share some kisses.   For the night portion, they head to Southwest Harbour which is an ole nautical type place(according to Arie) where they sit down for dinner.  Tia tells a bit more of her background, what she wants, etc.  Then something that I don’t know has ever happened THIS early in a season before(and usually the kiss of death) is that she tells Arie that she’s falling in love with him....oh lordy, here we go.  He of course gives her the rose.

Next up is the cocktail party and rose ceremony....and drama cause Krystal is still there.  Kendall is the first one to take Arie for some time.  Other than her, it was Jacqueline who has some very quick time shown, then back to the Krystal show....I thought Arie was the lead??  The last person to get some alone time is Krystal and he was extremely cold with her.  I hope that means that she’s adios!

Up next is the rose ceremony.....Besides roses that were already handed out to Chelsea, Lauren and Tia, roses were also given to:  Bekha, Seinne, Kendall, Becca, Jacqueline, Jenna, and Krystal.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – Epi 4

Episode four begins with the women in the mansion talking about the age difference between Arie and Bekha....yep, can see the writing on the wall with the drama fest that will likely ensue tonight.  Oh well, here we go.....

The women are sitting around inside the mansion when Chris Harrison shows up.  He informs the women that their international journey to find love(yep, just said that....will be the last time I swear) begins in South Lake Tahoe...pretty international, eh??

Arie is staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino while the women stayed at a different locale.  After the women check out their new digs, the date card arrives.  Seinne, let our love soar.....Arie.  The women are still sitting around after reading out the card when Arie shows up.  He sits with the women for a short spell before he and Seinne pile into the Bronco truck and take off for the date location.

Arriving at the docks, Arie tells Seinne that they will be heading out on the lake in a boat....Back at the lodge, the women are looking at their surroundings through binoculars when they discover that Seinne and Arie are parasailing.  Meanwhile on the boat, Arie and Seinne are up in the air and are really enjoying their surroundings together.  When they come back down to the boat, they moor up along the shore and the two of them have an impromptu sit down time on the beach and share some champagne and a chat.  At the end of their beach time, they shared some kisses.

Back at the lodge, Maquel is talking with her mom and finds out that her grampa died.  She immediately packed up and left without meeting up with Arie.  At this time, the group date card arrives....Chelsea, Krystal, Becca, Marikh, Ashley, Jacqueline, Jenna, Tia, Kendall, Lauren, Brittany, and Caroline....Will our love survive....Arie.  Of course we get the age difference card from Krystal...yep, that’s going to be the broken record of the night.

Arie and Seinne wind up in the restaurant at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino where they sit down for a chat.  They are able to broach topics of Arie falling in love, and if she’s been there as well.  In the end, Arie hands out the rose to her before the two of them share some kisses and then finally the surprise of the night as they walk into their own concert.  The two of them share some dancing and kissing amongst their greatest tens of friends....LOL.

The women meet up with Arie in the woods.  They have a quick chat before he leads them off to find out what they are going to be doing for their date.  They meet up with a couple of survivalists by the names of Mykel Hawke who is a retired Green Beret Combat Commander and his wife Ruth who inform the women that they will all undergo survival tests during their date. The first one is “recycling”, yep, that is what it sounds like.....Arie and the women are going to have to drink their own pee to understand how to do it if they are in a situation without water nearby.  Oh brother....here we go.  Mykel tells Arie that he needs to lead by example....Arie drinks out of his canister which impresses the women.....especially Jacqueline who is ready to commit and tells the group that she’s going to drink her pee.....well the gig is up and Arie confesses to her that he only drank apple juice.  It was funny but gross as well.  LOL.  Next up, Ruth shows the group that there are worms and asks who’s ready to eat one....Kendall immediately steps up to the plate.  Kendall, Arie and Tia “toast” their worms and down them as fast as they could.  Then comes the maggots where Arie and Kendall are willing participants.  Arie pulls Kendall aside where she is rewarded with a kiss.  Then the group is informed that they are going to be split into 3 teams and are given gear and a map.  Blue team = Kendall, Arie, Tia, Krystal, Caroline           Grey team = Jacqueline, Becca, Jenna, Ashley              Red team = Brittany, Chelsea, Marikh, Lauren.  The “finish line” was at the Hideout.  It came complete with a hotpool and champagne for all the group.  For the night portion, they ended up at the Edgewood for the afterparty.  Krystal seems to be the mouthpiece for the date.....Oh my gawd, we have Tierra part 2 happening here.....the only line that we didn’t hear from Krystal tonight is her “losing her sparkle”.  Good grief.  When Krystal got back to the group, she asked to take Caroline and Tia aside for a chat of their own.  There is really no need to get into that conversation as it was just a royal drama fest.  When Arie got back to the group, he handed out the rose to Tia.

Next up, Arie takes Bekha horseback riding.  They meet up at the date location where Arie informs her that they are horseback riding for a tour around South Lake Tahoe.

Back at the mansion, the women are talking about Bekha’s age and if she’s going to tell him how old she is....While we are hearing what the women are talking about, we see Arie and Bekha arrive at their hottub oasis.  They get changed into their swim trunks and get in the tub.  The two of them continue to chat about everyday life.  For the night portion the pair find themselves in another quiet lodge or at least in an area that they have an indoor fireplace and some serious talking.  It is now that Bekha informs Arie that she is only twenty-two.  This sparks up an extremely serious conversation about her age and if she is ready for something major to happen.  In the end, Arie gave Bekha a rose.

Up next is the cocktail party and rose ceremony.   It is here that Harrison shows up and informs the women that there will be no cocktail party tonight and they are going straight to the RC.  BUT, just before Arie hands out the first rose, it is Krystal that stops him and wants a few moments with him.....this goes over with the other women like a lead weight.  When they finally re-join the group, along with the roses that were handed out to Seinne, Tia and Bekha, roses were also handed out to Lauren, Kendall, Ashley, Becca, Chelsea, Jenna, Jacqueline, Marikh and Krystal.  Next week, the group finds themselves in Florida.  Looks like it will be another week of the Krystal show....oh goody....NOT.  Until next week, hope everyone has a great week!!

 

 

 

 

 

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 - EPI 3

Well, another epi began tonight with the women sitting around the mansion talking about last night's cocktail party and the stress that everyone is under when Chris Harrison shows up.  He informs the women that there are three dates this week with two of them being a group date and the other as an individual date. After plopping the date card on the table, Lauren S reads out the card:  Maquel, Jacqueline, Lauren B, Tia, Marikh, Bekha M, Bibiana and Krystal; It’s all about the ring....Arie.

The women are taken to their date location where they walk in and find a wrestling ring waiting for them.  Harrison introduces Arie to the girls as his height/weight, and teh kissing bandit.  Then Chris introduces the ladies helpers as Ursula Hayden and Angela (sorry but that last name went over my head).  Anyways, the experts are trying to teach   the women some secrets of wrestling and as most of them have never been in this kind of situation before, they are really finding that the experts are being “tougher” on them than they need to be which of course starts another drama fest with Bibiana and Tia leading the pack.  The one person that really seems to be shining through this is Bekha.  In the end, Bibiana and Tia come back in the ring and do some pretend wrestling together but away from the “experts”.  The women are then sent back to get into their costumes and makeup for the wrestling bout.  When they come back out, it is Arie that is in for a surprise as he’s informed that he will be doing the first match with Kenny King.  The women were set up in pairs; Maquel and Bekha, Jacqueline and Krystal, Lauren B and Marikh and the last one of Tia and Bibiana.  They all had fun with their acts as they found out that this is based on the WWE style of wrestling where it is all acted and scripted.

For the night portion of their date, the women and Arie find themselves at the Caravan Outpost.  After they all have drinks and a toast for the night, it is Krystal that is the first one that takes him aside for a chat.  After they share a kiss and a chat, it is Lauren B that is next for their chat.  Now is the start of the bitchfest with Tia and Bibiana once again.  We never saw Lauren B and Arie chat but at least we know that they did get some time.  Next up with Arie though is Bibiana.  Tia is the next one to get some alone time with Arie as they are taken to an out of the way area to chat.  Arie states that he was surprised that Tia was upset, but also felt good that he was able to help her through it.

At the mansion, the next date card arrives….Lauren S, you had me at Merlot….Arie.  So as the girls guessed, it will likely be at a winery.

Back with the date, Bekha is the next one to have some alone time with Arie.  Of course they get into having a heavy makeout session.  When everyone gathered again, Arie hands out the date rose to Bekha M, which of course upsets Krystal as she felt that she had the best relationship with Arie.  Yep, there is always one of them….

Meanwhile at the mansion, Krystal is back at it….talking about her back story and how she feels she has the best relationship there.

The next date is with Lauren S.  Lauren meets up with Arie at the air strip where she finds out that they are flying off to wine country for a date at a Napa Valley winery; Hall winery.  It is here that they pour a glass of wine and walk around and checking out the vineyard.    They pick some grapes before taking up a seat under some trees and begin to chat about their daily lives and what they do.  For the night portion, they are still at the winery where they visit one of the cellars there and sit down for another chat.  Lauren was sharing her back story and family situation.  You can literally see Arie tuning out as he is eating his dinner.  Lauren turned into a major chatter box and as such, you can see Arie totally frustrated.

Back at the mansion, the next date card arrives….Ashley, Becca, Brittany, Jenna, Caroline, Chelsea, and Annaleise….Love is ruff.  Arie.  This of course gets Annaleise on the defense again as she states how she’s had a bad dog experience before….once again I can see the drama starting with her again.

At the winery, Arie picks up the rose to hand it out but explains that he can’t give her the rose as he’s just not feeling it.  He tells us in an ITM that the spark just wasn’t there and she just didn’t let herself go to let him in.

Back at the mansion, the women find out that Lauren S has been sent home and right away Krystal is acting like the expert again…..yikes that girl just doesn’t get how irritating she has been to some of the women.

For the last group date of the night, the women meet up with Arie in a park where they find out that they will be chilling today with some dogs that are brought in.  The women are told that they will be working with the dogs, then showing off their new found skills to a live audience later on.  As the dogs come running down the hill, each of them choose the lady that they want.

At the mansion, the girls are talking and it is Tia and Bibiana against Krystal….you can see that there will be a showdown at some point.

For the date, the girls and Arie find themselves at The Grove where the girls are trying to entertain the crowd with the dog tricks.  Fred Williard is there as the co-host and he and Harrison seem to be having the most fun commenting on what is happening.  To me watching, it seems like the dog show part of the date is a bust.  For the night portion of the date, Arie takes the ladies to The Reserve, a local club in town.  Arie makes a toast for the women and immediately he asks Chelsea for some alone time.  They have a chat about her being here but what I can see watching, it seems like Arie is far more engaging with her than he was with Lauren S.  As the women line up for their alone time with Arie, he takes advantage of their time to either chat with the women or share some kisses.  Then it is Annaliese’s time.  She finds herself so nervous doing it and you can tell she is having a hard time opening up.  It is Chelsea that interrupts their time as she goes in for a second chance to chat with Arie.  Becca is the last one to get some alone time with Arie.  They take their opportunity to chat about where they are at right now and of course they share some kisses before their chat ends.  Arie and Becca rejoins the group and Arie hands out the group date rose to Chelsea. 

It is cocktail party number 3 and the drama is getting ramped up for sure.  Arie arrives and makes the normal speech before Arie takes away Seinne for the first chat.  Bibiana went out of her way to set up a couch and star gazing viewing area where she can be alone with Arie.  Problem is though….Arie found it while he was out talking with Lauren B.  They are sharing a kiss when Bibiana walks out and finds them.  Then it is Bekha that also shares that daybed with Arie.  The two of them are chatting about how Bekha feels about being there and what she wants out of it before they of course share some kisses.  The next one to get some alone time with Arie is Tia.  He set up some hay bales with of course some moonshine to round out their time.  The next one to take Arie aside is Annaleise.  They head upstairs to the balcony and have some alone time.  It is Annaleise that asks Arie for a kiss but it is him that denies her and states that he feels that they just aren’t at that position yet.  Jenna is another one to have some alone time and they get it on with a massive makeout session.  It is Annaleise that has the last time to talk with him again as she wants to confront him to find out where they are at and if she’s better off leaving right now.  Arie states to her that yea, there is no future for them and he wants to walk her out and send her home before the rose ceremony.  It is now that the women are lined up for the rose ceremony.  Besides the roses already given out to Bekha and Chelsea, roses were also handed out to: Caroline, Kendall, Ashley, Lauren B, Brittany, Becca, Seinne, Krystal, Tia, Maquel, Jenna, Jacqueline, and Marikh.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – EPI 2

Tonight we saw epi 2 and the beginning of the rounds of dates.  We catch up with the women that have moved into the mansion and now Chris Harrison is telling the women what to expect this week.  Harrison tells the women that Arie is on his way to the mansion and all the women can say is “where’s the date card”.  The look on Chris’s face tells it all as he knows that everyone else is well informed and has seen the behind the back and pull out the date card trick before.  LOL.

When opened, the date card read “Becca, hold on tight.  Arie” It was then that Arie did show up and got Becca in her jacket and helmet, ready for the road.  The two of them took off for their ride through the canyon from the mansion to where the date is going to take place.  When they arrive at the house, Becca opens the door to find a seafood buffet awaiting them and champagne to boot.  Becca was surprised when the designer dress maker; Rachel Zoe, came out from the next room and presented a bunch of dresses for Becca to try on.  After trying on what seemed like 5, Rachel said that she could choose the one that she wanted....meanwhile though, Arie told her that all of them are hers.  Then they went outside where Arie presented her with a pair of shoes to match.  After the excitement, the couple sat down for a chat overlooking the ocean.  As if that wasn’t enough, they were sitting there chatting when a gentleman came up from the ocean and told Becca that there is one more thing and after Arie opened the case, we could see some earings and necklace in it.  Arie proceeded to “earing her up” as they called it.  They then shared their first kiss.

Back at the mansion, Becca arrives and she’s carrying in all her gear.  Sharing her loot with the other women, they were all shocked by what she got.  After Becca got changed, the limo came and picked her up for their night portion.  They sit down and begin talking again over drinks. 

At the mansion, the girls are talking about their kisses with Arie when the next date card arrives;  “Krystal, home is where the heart is....Arie”  This immediately stuns the other girls as they are certain that there would of been two group dates instead of two individual dates.

With Arie and Becca, they are still chatting about past relationships, etc.  Becca tells Arie of how her dad was diagnosed with Brain cancer at the age of fourteen and he is now gone.  Arie then asked her to accept the rose and they shared some kisses.  It was then that Arie told her that the earrings that she’s wearing are hers but the necklace goes back.  At the end of the night, he gave a rope to her and told her to pull it...releasing the confetti.

For the next date, Krystal meets up with Arie at the airport where there is a private plane waiting for them.  Krystal finds out that they are going to Scottsdale.   When they land, he takes her on a tour of Scottsdale from his first job, to the high school, to his house.  They then go to old town Scottsdale where she meets his parents.

At the mansion, the next date card arrives;  Maquel, Marikh, Tia, Valerie, Annaleise, Lauren G, Kendall, Bekha, Jenny, Seinne, Jenna, Caroline, Brittany, Bibiana, and Chelsea.....Let’s hit love head on....Arie. 

For the night portion of Arie and Krystal’s date, they went upstairs for a private are where they were able to finally chat about Krystal.  After Arie letting go and sharing his life with Krystal, he is now wanting the return of it so she can finally let Arie in.  She was able to share her upbringing, what happened to her brother, and how she wants a family life as she didn’t have it and craved it growing up.   Arie then handed out the rose and they were able to share some kisses before Arie ushered her away for one last surprise of the night.  They went to a theatre where Connor Dermett was singing a private concert for them as they danced along.

The next day the inquisition began.  Poor Krystal.  She had questions thrown at her left and right about her date....come on girls....sometimes things are wanted to be kept private....sheesh!

The women are then transported to the date location for the group date.  When they get there, they find out that it is going to be a demolition derby style date.  Each woman is going to have to decorate their cars, then they do a classic derby with them to find out who the winner is.  As long as the car is running all is good, when not, then that person is out.  When the cars were all decorated, the women went in and got geared up in race suits and helmets.  Annaleise was having the hardest time.  Guess when she was younger on the bumper cars, she kept getting smashed and pinned in.....well, she’s making up for that today as she creamed the competition.  The winner of the day was Seinne though as she knocked everyone else out.  For the night portion of the date, Brittany didn’t attend as she was sick.  After they poured some wine and champagne, Arie made a quick speech before being whisked away by Chelsea.  They headed outside to the fireplace where they were able to sit down and have a chat about her son.  One by one, the remaining women lined up for their chat with Arie.  Arie handed out the date rose to Seinne though as she was the winner of the day.

At the cocktail party, Arie arrived and after a brief speech, the lineup began again as all the women began clammering for their time with the man.  The procession was long and talk about drama....holy crap!  I felt bad for Krystal that was wanting to keep some things private from their date, but holy smokes....you really aren’t doing yourself a favor.  AND the ‘Kissing Bandit’ was in full force tonight as he kissed another three women on the group date making it a total of five for the night.  Harrison came into the room shortly afterwards and announced that it’s rose ceremony time.   After Arie went to deliberations, he came back and made a quick speech before handing out the roses.  Becca, Krystal and Seinne already have roses but roses were also handed out to:  Maquel, Jacqueline, Bekha, Jenna, Chelsea, Lauren S, Tia, Annaleise, Lauren B, Kendall, Brittany, Marikh, Caroline, and Bibiana.

THE BACHELOR SEASON 22 – PREMIERE

Well, I got to say this once....yep and once it will be.  Welcome to JaunARIE.  There you go, I said it.  Now back to the show.....  Tonight was the premiere episode of season 22 with the new bachelor being Arie Luyendyk.

As was customary, we had a look back to where he was the last time he was on the show.  We also get a look at what his life has been like since then.  We also get Sean and Catherine showing up at the mansion to give Arie some advice.  For the countdown to Arie epi we had a brief glimpse of Sean and Catherine there but this time we were given more of their conversation together and the “advice” that Sean was doling out again.  The preview videos of the women on this season was next with Chelsea, Caroline, Maquel, Nysha, Tia, Kendall, Bekah, Marikh, and Krystal. 

The women start arriving and it’s fast and furious with all the gimmicks, greets and of course the laughs.  You can check out the chart below for the run-down on who showed up in what order.  As I am sure we all know, there is the standard cattiness, show-offs, time stealers, etc the first night so won’t bore you all with the play by play on that, but I think the main drama queen of the night award goes to Chelsea.  It really surprised me as I had her pegged as the quiet mousy type that hangs back and waits but NOPE, she was the “bull in the china shop” tonight as the attention seeker.  She even stole the first impression rose and the second kiss of the night.  The first kiss award went to Brittany T after their car race and even that kiss was really quick compared to Chelsea’s heat.

In the end though, roses were handed out to Chelsea who had the first impression rose, Becca, Marikh, Kendall, Lauren G, Krystal, Bekah, Lauren S, Seinne, Caroline, Brittany T, Bibiana, Annaleise, Jenna, Valerie, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Lauren B, Ashley, Tia, and Maquel for a total of 21 girls kept which meant that Ali, Amber, Briana, Brittane, Jessica, Lauren J, Nysha, and Olivia were sent home.
